WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE...

A Jungle In New Mexico?? You would not think so. But this amazing couple purchased some property and they needed a path cleared. Mark and Darian took the Excavator down to clear the brush. The goal was to get to “The Cottonwood Tree”. At the time, we all thought it was a cottonwood tree.

At the beginning of the project, the brush was easy and spaced out as you can see in the picture below.

However, the closer they got to the tree, the thicker and heavier the brush was. The brush was so tall, it was over the cab of the excavator. Mark and Darian spent the rest of the day looking at nothing but a forest of Salt Cedar and scrub brush. Darian mentioned all I can see was either blue sky if I look up or the brush, that was my view all day. As a matter of fact, one of the times I called to check on him, he answered the phone... "Welcome to the Jungle how can I help you."

At the end of the second day, we had made it to an area just west of “ The Cottonwood Tree”. We created a parking area with a turn around area for the couple and their family. (pictured below)

Notice the tree in the picture below, this was the goal, to get to the "The Cottonwood Tree".

We have arrived at “The Cottonwood Tree” at the end of the second day. Only to find out it is not a cottonwood tree, but what we believe to be a type of elm tree.

The couple was excited and happy. They can now camp at the tree and enjoy the peace and quiet their property offers them.

Until next time

Hugs

Kathleen
